Art is never finished, only abandoned.

- Leonardo Da Vinci

I’ve always had a hard time talking about myself because I grew up with the understanding that being humble is a virtue. I also do believe that true accolades don’t need to be spoken of. However, we live in an age where we are constantly bombarded with visuals everywhere we go. Rather than just be part of the mix, I want to be able to connect with the people who enjoy my art at a personal level. Also, the internet has allowed me to connect to people from across the globe, so here is a little bit about me to help bridge some of the gaps that exist between you and I.

My name is Bhargava Chiluveru – I was born and brought up in Hyderabad, India. Although typically a conservative society focused more on education, I was fortunate enough to be exposed to arts and new media at an early age by my Dad. At the time, he ran his own AD Agency and I was fascinated with everything creative at a young age. I got my hands on Photoshop even before moving to the United States (1997?), which was rare at the time in India. We moved to Atlanta in 1998 and again, ended up in different sort of a conservative society where I ended up being a little bit of an outsider. This did not help my already reclusive and introverted personality, but gave many hours in front of Photoshop, Premiere and a bunch of other new media tools. Anything visual interested me and I ended up getting a job as a graphic designer after college even though my degree was in marketing and business.

After many years of playing with other’s photos and fine tuning other’s mistakes through various design jobs, I ended learning more and more about cameras from an editor’s perspective. After upgrading to a DSLR, I was able to bring my own ideas to life rather than rely on other’s photos. Soon after, I also spent a lot of time learning and perfecting the HDR technique.

Over the past five years, I went through a little bit of a reboot – with health and mind. I ended up quitting my job and currently run my own agency and production company. When I get the time, I’ve been able to use my years of visual arts experience to create unique imagery and recreate the surreal worlds that imagine in my mind as a means of escape and relaxation.
